Effective 19 October 2026
These terms apply when you use SI Edu. By using it you agree to them.
SI Edu is a Mac app, made by SenseAI in Auckland, New Zealand, that helps teachers prepare lessons, worksheets and checks, and read their school email, files and calendar. It is offered to teachers taking part in our pilot.
Slides, worksheets, marking guides and other material are written with AI. They can contain mistakes. You are responsible for checking them before you use them with a class. SI Edu does not replace your professional judgement, and nothing it makes is an official assessment judgement.
When you connect Google, you use your own Google account under Google's terms. SI Edu only reads what you allow, and never sends email for you. Keep your Mac and your SI Edu access key secure.
Lessons and sheets you make are yours. Pictures found on the web keep their own owners' rights; SI Edu records where each one came from so you can check it.
Do not use SI Edu to break the law, to break your school's rules, or to put pupils' private information into AI requests.
SI Edu is provided as it is, during a pilot. We do our best to keep it working, but we do not promise it will be free of errors or always available. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot be limited by agreement.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, or for loss caused by material you used without checking it.
You can stop using SI Edu at any time: disconnect Google in SI Edu and delete the app. We may end the pilot or your access with notice by email.
We may update these terms; we will tell you before a change applies to you. New Zealand law governs these terms.
